NWEA has helped kids learn for over 40 years. Having created the industry standard for Pre K–12 assessment and professional learning solutions, their tools are trusted by educators in 140 countries and more than half the schools in the US.
RLD supported brand strategy and positioning and developed identities for both the corporate brand (NWEA) and their suite of educational products, (MAP). We then extended their brand language to include ‘look and feel’ for their digital and print sales tools, as well as marketing collateral and digital products. We also ensured the brand would be effectively implemented over the coming months and years by providing in-depth corporate guidelines for their in-house creative teams.
One of the core elements of the rebrand are the addition of secondary graphics called “Thought Collages”.
Thought Collages are a collection of supporting graphics representing testing and measuring components found within the software. These compositions are configured based on Fibonacci's Golden Ratio formula giving the internal design resources a robust toolkit to extend the new brand, regardless of application, scale or messaging.
In building the new brand we found one of the most actionable, yet elegant ways to demonstrate this was to remove unnecessary complexity so that information is always easy to understand, regardless of age or role within an organization.
