Exploratorium
Weaving a colorful past into a brilliant future.

Telling the remarkable story of one of the world’s most admired learning institutions.
This engaging commemorative piece, “HERE” tells two epic stories: one of transition, one of transformation. San Francisco’s world-renowned museum of science, art, and human perception, the Exploratorium, moved in 2014. They transitioned from the revered Palace of Fine Arts, their home for more than 40 years, to the newly transformed waterfront facility at Pier 15/17.
These two piers at the edge of San Francisco’s Embarcadero iconic waterfront, were given new life, as a 422,166 sq./ft., 300 million dollar facility. “HERE” celebrates what is possible when old meets new—and where science, engineering and creativity meld like nowhere else.
